Shani Sadhe Sati and Dhaiyya

Sadhe Sati is the 7+1⁄2 years long period of Shani. This is a period with many challenges, great achievements and recognition. Sadhe Sati is divided into three phases i.e. Rising, Peak and Setting. The results of Sadhe Sati varies as per the phase one is going through.

Sadhe Sati is the transition of Shani, when it transits through twelfth, first and second house from the natal birth chart. Shani takes two and half years to transit from one house to another house, called Dhaiya meaning 2 1/2 years. The transit of Shani through the three houses takes seven and half years which means Sadhe Sati.

Three phases of Shani’s Sadhe Sati

  1. In the starting period of Shani’s Sadhe Sati, Shani transits in twelfth house from the Moon. This period brings financial loss, problems from enemies, travel, disputes, and poverty. Problems created by hidden enemies increase and relationship with colleagues deteriorate. Challenges on domestic front increase causing undue pressure and tension. One must control one’s expenditure else it leads to financial problems. Long distance travels do not bear fruit. Shani’s nature is of delay and dejection. Take this period as learning period, work hard and things will slowly change. Do not take high risks in business during this period.
  2. This is the peak of Shani’s Sadhe Sati and is the most difficult one. Shani’s transit over natal Moon causes health problems, character assassination, problems in relationship, mental afflictions and sorrows. It becomes difficult to achieve success and one may not get result of hard work. Health and immune system will deteriorate. One must exercise and take care of one’s health. One may suffer from depression, phobias and lack of clarity in thinking, action, and decision making. One becomes spiritually inclined and attracted to nature. Acceptance and patience sails one out of this period.
  3. Third phase is the setting period of Shani’s Sadhe Sati. Shani transits in the second house from the natal Moon causing financial and domestic difficulties. Misunderstandings and financial stress happen, expenses increase and one need to exercise control. Sudden financial losses, fear of theft, pessimistic thinking may happen. One needs to pay attention to family and personal front to avoid larger problems. Student’s education may get affected and they will have to work harder. In this phase results are slower. This indicates danger and one needs to drive carefully. One should stay away from non-vegetarian food and alcohol. One needs to work intelligently to sail through this period.

Above predictions are generic in nature. Factors like current dasha and nature of Shani also needs to be analyzed for concluding the nature of Sadhe Sati period.

Dhaiyya
Another transit of Shani is the Dhaiyya (2+1/2 years). In this Shani transits through the fourth sign from the birth Moon sign. Or from the eighth sign from the birth moon sign Or seventh house from Natal Moon.
Outcomes of Shani’s dhaiya gives disgrace, loss of self-respect, lack of prosperity, efforts don’t accomplish results, consistent losses, inability to discharge debts on time, difficulty in personal relationships, destroys mental peace and creates mental and physical health problems.
